The long ones
Hotham’s signature descent, Spargo’s, runs about 2.5 kilometres top to bottom — the kind of sustained run that’s rare in Australia. Add the mountain’s famous chutes and the tree runs threading through the snow gums, and there’s enough here to keep strong skiers busy for a week.
After dark
On select evenings the lights come on for night skiing — a few laps under the stars after the day crowds have gone. Terrain parks run through the season too, snow depending.

You don’t need to arrive with everything. Skis, boards, boots and clothing can all be hired and fitted in the village, so you can travel light and gear up when you get here.
